Lance envisioned a home rich with natural textures and innovative features, pushing the boundaries of modern design. Partnering with his architects and builders, he crafted a "mountain modern" retreat, characterized by striking material contrasts and a stone feature that flows seamlessly between the home’s interior and exterior, anchoring its aesthetic.

Central to Lance’s vision was a statement wall integrating a 100-inch TV, seven-foot speakers, and a seven-foot fireplace in one sleek, cohesive structure. Achieving this ambitious design while maintaining a harmonious look required unmatched precision and customization – challenges that only Stellar could meet.

The Custom Fireplace: A Marvel of Precision

Stellar’s expert team knew that flawless alignment was critical to the design. The fireplace glass had to sit perfectly on the same plane as the TV, creating a unified look. Custom sizing was essential to ensure the fireplace fit seamlessly with the TV and speakers, avoiding any filler pieces and maintaining the sleekness of the wall.

Ross from Stellar explained, "Customizing the fireplace means we can align every element perfectly – the height, width, and depth – so the entire feature wall reads as one continuous design." This meticulous attention to detail allowed the finishing materials to extend directly to the firebox, enhancing the wall’s clean, modern aesthetic.

Engineering Meets Artistry

The elegance of this fireplace extends far beyond its appearance. Stellar’s engineering expertise ensured it was both visually stunning and functionally flawless. Despite generating up to 140,000 BTUs of heat, the fireplace was designed to safely dissipate warmth while maintaining vibrant, uniform flames that Ross calls "bouncy happy flames."

Each linear foot of flame is individually fueled, creating a consistent burn across the expansive seven-foot design – a hallmark of Stellar’s innovative burner system. This advanced functionality allows the fireplace to shine year-round, whether in Minnesota’s frosty winters or California’s balmy evenings.
